Soil Preparation
Cosmos Purity prefers well-drained, fertile soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH. Choose a planting site that receives full sun for at least six hours per day. Work some organic matter, such as compost or aged manure, into the soil to improve drainage and fertility.
Sowing Seeds
Cosmos Purity seeds can be sown directly outdoors in early spring after the last frost has passed, typically in late April or early May. Alternatively, you can start the seeds indoors four to six weeks before the last frost. For indoor sowing, fill seed trays or individual pots with a sterile seed starting mix. Sow the seeds thinly and cover them with a light dusting of soil. Keep the soil moist but not soggy.
